Visits with Santa!

We took Cara to the mall last weekend to meet Santa. After a very happy wait in line I gave her to Santa and she screamed! Scarred her for life!

She was convinced to still write him a letter though - here she is all ready to have it mailed to the North Pole!

Cara loves to empty the can cupboard. She carries the cat food cans around and gives the kitty kisses :)

All bundled up for a quick walk to the mail box in the cold (it was snowy and freezing here all week). She fell over and couldn't get up or roll over!

We went to GD's family Christmas Party on Saturday at a huge indoor play ground and Santa came for a visit and brought each kid a present. Cara is unsure about a second meeting of this strange man.

She did not want to get any closer than this to him so Daddy had to join the picture :)

Not to worry though, she will accept presents from Santa!

Cara is a pro-walker now. She can get up without any assistance!

Cara LOVED the ball pit at the party. We could hardly get her to leave it.

Snowstorms!

We had our final Kindermusik class this week (they start again in February). Cara had a great time and another mum took these pictures and sent them to me :) Above: Cara watching the teacher wave the scarves!

Cara has had some very rosy cheeks all week (to go with her shirt from Aunt Jill) - some teething happening but nothing through yet.

We had 3 snowstorms in one week - this one was the worst on Friday. Cara and I went over to our neighbor's house for a play date. The picture doesn't show how windy and snowy it really was - good thing the houses are so close together!

We put the tree up this weekend while Cara was having a nap. She is still slightly afraid but curious about what this thing is that appeared so suddenly. She keeps pointing to it and telling us all about it :)

We got Cara some shoes that squeak when she walks - here she is showing you how they work!

Reading with Daddy

Watching the snow get cleared away from our major snow fall this week that had all the hills closed in Calgary - Daddy had to leave the car and walk home!!!

Cara figured out how to drink with a straw this week and has a lot of fun doing it!

So grown up!

Cara took her first real walking tumble this week when she was trying to walk out the door onto the cement step...she landed on her nose! And scraped it - poor thing :( the smiles came back quickly though!

5 shot fallout...

We didn't take many pictures this week since we were all sick (Cara with a fever from her shots and a cold that I had too and then Daddy got too!)...it was not fun at all. On Saturday though she was well enough to go to a Christmas Tea at Nana's church with me :)

She did figure out what sheep say and cows say though and she usually snorts when asked what a pig says (just not for the camera!).

And even though she was sick she practiced walking all week and is really getting good!

A party, 5 shots and some more teeth - ouch!

Our Baby class had a group Birthday Party for all 11 babies on Nov 1 - Cara wore her hat for about 4 seconds!

The top photo was taken at our final baby class and the bottom at their first Birthday Party...lots more crying at 1 year old!

The party was at a coffee shop that has a whole room full of toys for kids (called "Play-Grounds") - here Cara is going to pretend to cook her pal Cameron a snack in the toddler friendly camper.
