California 2012 - Day 4 Disneyland! (Part 1)

Monday we got in the car and told Cara and Gwen that we were going to go for a drive to see an old friend who wanted to meet our girls.

When we got to the parking lot we told Cara where we were and what we were doing that day - we had to take a bus to the park and there was Disney stuff all over it so we told her so we could get it on video.

Before we could enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy we had to wait to get through the gates.

After we got in we stopped by City Hall and got the girls "1st Visit" buttons.

We started walking down Main Street USA and what was marching toward us?  Mickey and a marching band!  Stopped right in front of us and played for us!  The Disney Magic!

Daddy was getting excited!

Sleeping Beauty's Castle - all dressed up for Christmas.

We went inside the castle and saw dioramas that told the Sleeping Beauty story.

Dumbo ride time!

Cara was ready with her feather.

After Dumbo Cara just wanted to see Mickey so we went to Toon Town and went through his house.

Gwen liked Mickey's TV.

Cara had fun checking out his stuff.

Then we met with Mickey!

Hugs and autographs! And two very happy girls!

A visit at Minnie Mouse's house.

Cara and Daddy checked out Donald Duck's Boathouse (top) and Goofy's house (bottom).

Then we met Daisy Duck!

Daisy is near-sighted.

Cara did not want to get close to Goofy but Gwen was game.

Around the corner was Pluto!

Cara couldn't stay away and had to get in on the hug.

The kids were hungry at this point and it was getting hot.

We stopped into a gift shop and Cara got some ears!  Then off to find some lunch.

Before we found lunch Gwen was asleep!  So we ate and walked around while she napped.

Cara really enjoyed her cheeseburger.

After our lunch we walked over to Frontierland and went for a river cruise on the Mark Twain paddle boat.

Gwen was hot and could have used more sleep and Cara was not too into the boat ride but we made it through and once the boat got moving it was better!

While Gwen was eating I asked Cara if Disneyland was like she imagined.  She said "yes, except all of the people."

While we were walking through New Orleans Gwen found the mysterious and secret Club 33.  She was not allowed in.

On the Winnie the Pooh ride!  Cara was so excited for this one!

Gwen was very into it too.

It was +35 degrees at this point - the Christmas tree seemed weird.

An ice cream sandwich was in order with the heat.  Cara ate it up fast!
