Dr Appt #5 and ultrasound #3

On the 8th we had out 5th Dr appointment and everything is going fine. I got my shot in the hip (which was unpleasant but bearable). I measured 3 cms big again - but they aren't talking like it's huge baby or thinking of changing the due date - no one seems concerned so we're not worried about it. My blood pressure is fine and the baby's heartrate was great. I'm feeling LOTS of movements which is good too. We go back for another checkup on Aug 29 when I'll be 32 weeks and after that we go every 2 weeks.

On Monday he 11th we had our ultrasound to check the placement of the placenta. The placenta has moved out of the way (as it usually does). The tech and the doctor at the ultrasound clinic both said it was a girl so now that we have 3 opinions on it we are feeling very confident that it is a girl!

These are a few pictures that the tech took for us - a 30 week ultrasound doesn't look at much that makes good pictures so she took a few minutes and got these face and profile shots - who do you think she looks like?!?!?

Change of plans....

We had a plan to paint Baby Byrne's bedroom on the August long weekend but Adam's appendix had other plans (and there is no arguing with an appendix)! After spending the day in the ER and enduring and ultrasound and a ct scan the great surgeons finally decided to remove Adam's appendix on Friday night. He went in to surgery just before 11pm and woke up with a tiny, inflamed piece of his abdomen gone but not forgotten. He was left with 3 small but painful incisions. They let him come home on Saturday afternoon and he is recovering nicely.

We bought the paint for the bedroom so once he's healed we'll get to work.
