It Ends With A Happy Easter!

The elephants have left our zoo.
The 3 ladies went to live with a larger herd and I'm sure they are happier.
We went to say goodbye to them and one even waved back to us!
 The girls with the elephants.
Then we went to see the hippos and this one tried to fling its poop at us!  It was disgusting and thankfully we jumped out of the way!
A couple weeks ago we went to Aggie Days!
Gwen tried milking a cow :)
 We watched some herding.
Gwen loved this pile of poop!  One of her favourite words!
 Cara tried milking a cow!
A giant turkey!!!!
 Princess/cowgirl/fireman Cara
 Princess Fireman Gwen
 Cara and the horse skeleton!
We took the annual photo by the big tire.
The girls played in the sand.
 And petted a chick.
The next day we went to Supertrain!
It was a huge display of model trains.
So I took some neat pics of all the miniatures.

A nice scene - can you spot the deer?
That scene is in this old jug!
That's what you can do with an old jug!

Turns out model trains draw a big crowd and there was a lot to see!
The week before Easter Gwen was sick but she got better and so on Good Friday we went to Lethbridge to visit with Nana & Grandpa Howie!
There was a park nearby so the girls had to try it out.
 Gwen on the see-saw.

 Gardener Gwen in her galoshes!
Cara planted some tree seeds in Nana's garden.
After an eventful night that included a 3am bath for a sick Gwen - the sun came out and after a nice ham lunch the Easter Bunny had visited and the girls went on an egg hunt in the yard!
 Counting of the eggs.

 Cara found a big egg!
 So much fun!
Easter morning the girls ate one of their decorated eggs.
Eggs!
The Easter Bunny led the girls on an egg hunt through the house clue by clue.
They went upstairs, downstairs, up and down again and again - even outside!
He hid their baskets in the dishwasher!!!
He even put the clean dishes away for us!
Umbrellas, butterfly nets and chocolate!  CHOCOLATE!
Gwen gets crazy eyes from chocolate!!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Spring Clean Up - Catch Up

This post is from the last month or so and will catch up on what we're doing these days.
Spring is finally here - but before that we finished up with Ballet class for Gwen!
While other girls watch the teacher Gwen dances to her own drum!
She loves ballet class and I see more dancing in her future.

 Like a Degas painting.
We had "Spring Break" the last week of March but it snowed and whe cold all week long.
One thing we wanted to do was go to teh Calgary Tower.
Since the weather has improved now we went last weekend.
Cara was a bit afraid of the glass floor!
Gwen had lots of courage and shared it with Cara!
A booth that let you experience hurricane strength winds - the girls had to try it.
 Gwen really is brave :)
We also enjoyed the Spring weather and went to a park we like.

Since this park was partially flooded last June they replaced one of the playground structures with a boat!!
 Back to Spring Break.
Since the weather outside was frightful we checked out a pet store that has this cool aquarium that you can get in the middle of.
A cool close up look at fish.
We also went to see a Reptile Show at a mall - they had a fun photo booth for the kids.
And just as Winter was ending on April 1 we finally got to make our first snowman of the year!
So we made another in case it was our only chance - and since it was April Fool's Day we put the face on this guy on the other side so he was looking right in our window.
Fooled Daddy when he got home from work!
A bit out of order here but just this past weekend we went shopping and stopped but the Disney Store.  The invited the girls to join a parade that was about to begin.  They gave each kid a character mask and they marched around the store.
Gwen as Pooh is a bit creepy!
Cara was Sully and got to lead the parade!
Yesterday was so warm - +18 or so.  We played with bubbles and chalk.  And fired up the BBQ.
The girls thought it was a perfect day for ice cream cones on the step and they were right!
This was back in March on the last day of skating class.  Both Cara and Gwen improved so much with this class.  Cara also finished up her clay class and they are both enjoying Gymnastics that started last week.
Gwen can skate and get up all by herself!
In a couple weeks they'll start swimming classes too.

Now we're all caught up and we'll get back to regular updates trying for once a week.
