5 month bonus movie!!

Cara having fun laughing with Daddy - once she sees the camera she knows to pose :) You can tell she's had her picture taken alot!!

5 months old

Cara had a pretty good week this week. We started out with another dump of snow (Cara has yet to live a month without snow...) but we managed to get out of the house a bit :) We went and met with all of the moms and babies from out baby class (Cara is the biggest and cutest) and we went to the doctor for her 5 month check up. She weighs in at 16lb 5oz now!

She's getting good at sitting up with just a bit of help and she is reaching and grabbing at everything!

As long as she is distracted by a toy she will stay balanced.

She is REALLY good at drooling and doing her baby push-ups!!!!

21 weeks old - Irish eyes are smiling

Cara enjoyed her first St Patrick's Day (she wore her green diapers to celebrate!). We had a good week this week, went to the movies again with another Mom and Baby from our Baby group. The weather was much nicer so we got out for some fresh air! Cara instantly falls asleep in her stroller...maybe we should try that at 3am!

Cara is looking forward to all of the house guests that are coming our way! We found out that Jill, Mark, Char and Riley are coming in April. We already knew Grampy was coming at the beginning of May but found out this week that Nanny and Papa booked their trip to be here later in May!! We are all excited for all of the visits - Cara is most excited to meet everyone! She has promised to sleep every night all night while we have guests! (yeah right, I wish!!! bring your ear plugs!!!)

20 weeks old

It was another cold week in Calgary - hopefully that is the end of it and spring is here!

The time change messed up our routines this week but Cara is adjusting slowly. Sleep is still unpredictable - I think she is just in one long growth spurt...

She is really reaching alot now and grabbing things on her first try most of the time. She is kicking vigorously and babbling to us, her toys and her hands and feet almost constantly! She's rolled from her back to her tummy a couple of times - she'll start barrel rolling any day now. The changes we are seeing are really amazing!

Playing the "flying baby" game with Daddy.

Mesmerized by her "Little Einstein" DVD.

Another week has gone by and happy baby Cara keeps on practicing her rolling and is starting to try to roll from back to front (she only gets to her side though). She's starting to sleep better again (thank goodness!!) and only getting up once or twice a night the last few nights.

We got her highchair set up this week so she can get used to it before we start feeding her some cereal in 6 weeks or so. Since it has a toy that flashes and plays music she loves it for about 5 minutes at a time - she is not a fan of being restrained!!! But she is joining us for supper and likes to watch us eat.

Trying out her highchair for the first time :)

In the laundry basket at 18.5 weeks and below is in the basket at 6 weeks!
