101st post!

I realized as I started this post that it is the 101st post on Baby Byrne's Blog! Yay!

Cara took her Daddy out to play in the snow this week - she had a great time!

Here Cara is telling Adam all about the snow - she is talking so much now, if only we knew what she was saying.

Cara finally figured out how to come down the stairs this week...

...she is so proud of herself that she applauds herself every time she makes it to the bottom.

We took Cara to her first hockey game on Sunday afternoon. It was the WHL teams Calgary Hitmen against the Tri City Americans. Hitmen won 3-0!

Cara had a great time watching the crowd and the hockey - she really loved the organ music! In this shot she is eating a soft pretzel and loving it.

This stunned look is what she had the first 20 minutes or so during the flashing lights, the anthems and the start of the game. She was is awe!

During the first intermission she got a ride on Daddy's shoulders.

The Hitmen's mascot Farley the Fox paid a visit to our section! Cara was totally amazed at seeing him up close. No fear at all.

Here Cara and I are under Dion Phaneuf's banner (he was on the Calgary Flames until today - just that morning they announced that he was traded to Toronto). We are waving good bye.

Cara found this teddy bear with a Hitmen jersey on at the gift shop to commemorate her first live hockey game - his name is Hitman.

With Glowing Hearts

We went to see the Olympic Torch Relay in Springbank at Nana's school on Wednesday morning. It was a great event. Cara got in the spirit of things with some facepainting!

She also got to meet Rocky Racoon - the mascot of the Rockyview area. Cara thought he was amazing.

While we waited for the flame to arrive Cara and Daddy played in the snow. Cara thought that was hilarious.

Cara was exhausted after the festivities...she had a nice long snooze in the car.

toasted horsey

Here is Cara showing off all of her animal sounds - when we played the video for her she does the sounds along with it (very cute). She is just starting to do the me-ow and you can tell she is really trying to get it right! Enjoy!

Cara is trying to use her spoon more when eating but usually finds the "dumping" method works better.

Cara has become a really good at sitting on the step and relaxin'!

The big excitement this week was that Cara put the front half of her horse magnet (part of a fridge farm magnet set) into a slot of the toaster and I didn't notice until after the Eggos popped! The toaster survived but the horsey is toast.

A conversation with Grampy this week reminded us that Cara is not really a picky eater and here is proof - she is enjoying salmon!

Cara is finally doing her share of the chores!

Hats, friends and messes!

Cara managed to help herself to a snack this week. After this photo was taken she then turned the box upside down and shook out her snack! Floor-ios are delicious!

This is after a game of peek-a-boo during a ravioli lunch - she loves to make a big mess.

Our friend Verity came over for a visit with her little girl Freya (5 months).

Freya didn't like being put in the carseat to go home so Cara made her laugh!

Happy New Year!

Cara and her Daddy

Cara and her Pinky Ponk.

Cara is all dressed to ring in the New Year!

She really enjoyed her first waffle of 2010.

Cara is such a big girl now - we turned her car seat to forward facing and she seems so much older now! Growing up so fast :) She is alot happier in the car now that she can look out the window.
