31 weeks - back to routine

Adam was back to work this week so Cara and I are back to routine...I think we all preferred having Adam home and having visitors!! We were never bored! I'm not sure Cara knows what to think with just me around! They'll be more visitors soon enough though and in the meantime we can have a bit of a routine with naps and things.

Cara has been sleeping pretty good lately and is napping better (and mostly in her crib too!). We had a beautiful week weather wise and got out for some nice walks in the sun.

Our little baby is getting really strong! She keeps attempting to crawl and is starting to inch forward a bit and she loves to stand up - she actually started to jump in her jolly jumper this week! (see video below) All of a sudden one day she started jumping in her excersaucer so I set up the jumper and off she went! She is so proud of herself!

I've been making lots of baby food this week which is pretty fun (and very easy!) the freezer is stocked with yams, squash, carrots/parsnips, cantaloupe and honeydew melon! I'm making a few more things this week - maybe somethings that aren't orange! Cara is loving her meals and eats everything!

So happy in her Jolly Jumper!

This is her "downward facing dog" yoga pose.

Cara the crocodile wrestler! We got this for her at Ikea and it is the exact same length as she is!

Standing up in her pretty dress :)

30 weeks - 2nd tooth is almost here!

Cara's second tooth is about to break through! She is handling it pretty well - just waking up for an extended period through the night (exhausting!). And she is getting closer to crawling! She is doing her yoga moves alot and impressed the other moms at the mom & baby group this week - when she goes into "downward facing dog" pose it is very impressive!

We went to Fish Creek Park here in Calgary for a walk yesterday since it was so nice and Adam took Cara down the slide for her first ride! She seemed to enjoy it! There is a video of the ride below :)

A few more pics of our great trip with Nanny & Papa are below, too - enjoy!

And now that Aunt Sarah & Uncle James have given the ok - Cara is very excited for the arrival of a new cousin in December!!! Rest up soon-to-be parents!! xoxoxo

Enjoying a sunny day at the park!

On the slide with Daddy - keep in mind this is May and that is why Adam's legs are so white!!!

29 weeks - Nanny & Papa visit!

The week started with a fantastic Mother's Day! Cara gave me a new camera (to help with taking so many pictures of her!) and I love it :) We had a nice relaxing family day - it should be Mother's Day more often!

Nanny and Papa arrived on Thursday night and we have had a busy few days so far going to Drumheller, then we spent 2 days in Banff hiking and going up the side of a mountain! Cara has been a very good traveling baby and she has been having a great time with her grandparents :)

She is still practicing her crawling and a tooth has broken through!! Just the sharp edge is through so it won't be long until it moves up!

28 weeks - A Visit From Grampy

We had a great visit with Grampy this week! Dad arrived last Friday night and we had a jam-packed week of going to museums, the zoo, Calgary Tower and just hanging out at home. Cara was quite well behaved and traveled really well :) Sleeping at night was a different story...but she made up for that by being totally adorable during the day!

Cara loved meeting her Grampy and misses him already :(

We are now recuperating and getting ready for our next visitors Nanny and Papa coming this week!

27 weeks - more shots :(

Cara had her 3rd round of immunizations this week - she weighed in at 16 lb 12 oz and was 26 1/4 inches. She took the shots pretty well, recovered from the jabs quickly but had a fever and trouble sleeping since, poor little thing. Adam and I have had to take turns staying up and holding her while she sleeps - hopefully this will pass soon and she can go back to sleeping semi-ok most nights. She gave us a good long sleep of 6.5 hours this week and now I want more sleeps like that! How quickly I could get used to that!

The 3 of us had a good week all being home together this week - parental leave is awesome! Adam has taken over a lot of duties and given me a bit of a break and we get out of the house a lot more! Cara loves going shopping!

This week she ate some squash and peas and is enjoying trying new foods - she continues to love her cereals too and she gets some formula once in awhile now when we're out or I'm out and she's great at switching back and forth - she just wants to eat!!!

Enthralled with the TV!

Loves to hold on to the remote!

Eating her squash and loving it :)
