Great August weekends

We had a BBQ with our baby group last weekend and it was great to see all the toddlers again - and one brand new baby was there too. This is some of the group of kids when we attempted a group shot - don't they all look so happy to posing?!

Cara had fun playing at the playground and trying to pick up all the rocks!

Later that afternoon we took a trip to Calaway Park amusement park.

Nana met us there.

And Howie too.

Cara went on lots of rides and had a good time. Her Daddy also won her a couple of awesome toys at the games.

She really liked the carousel this time.

She would pet the horse and say "good horsey, good horsey" - too cute!

This weekend we went to the Family Picnic at Daddy's office. They had lots of fun things to do - Cara tried out different bouncy things.

She wasn't sure about this one.

Then she found this one. It was a long tube to crawl/walk through then there was a ladder to climb then a slide. We thought she'd decide against it in the middle and we'd have to rescue her but we were wrong. She loved it and went through at least a couple of dozen times!

Here she is inside the tube part...there were 3 tiny windows we could watch through.

This was yet another bouncy house. She liked the bouncy but couldn't get the climbing part on this one. She still had fun jumping around!

Then we checked out the petting farm. Cara really liked the chicks and the pigs.

She "baaa'd" at some sheep.

And petted a goat.

She was fascinated with the chicks.

Then Daddy gave us a tour of his office, we saw his desk and then we got to see some army vehicles.

Cara was trying to imagine Uncle Brent in one of these over in Afghanistan.

Cara had a great time at the Family Picnic!
