Trip to New Brunswick 2011 Part 1

We took a trip to New Brunswick to celebrate Thanksgiving and introduce Gwen to a large portion of her family!  We had a great flight out with few problems (save Westjet losing our gate checked stroller!) we arrived in Moncton to see Nanny and Papa and kicked off 10 days of fun!

 

After recovering from our jet lag and visiting in Quispamsis we went to Fredericton/Harvey for a visit.  We started it off by taking Cara and Gwen to see their Great Grandparents!  Grammy and Puppy were so happy to see the girls and we had a lovely visit.  They even got to see their Great Aunts Wanda and Bernadette!

 

They we were off to Grampy's for supper!  Connor met his cousin Gwen for the first time.  Love at first sight!

 

Then Connor had to show Cara all the fun spots in Grampy's house!

We took a trip to St Andrews with Sarah and Connor to see the aquarium.  

 

The cousins had a great time looking at the touch pools and touching the water.  Touching actual creatures was a bit weird for them so they watched things move around.  Also the water was freezing Fundy Bay water so who likes freezing water?!

Cara was looking for Sponge Bob Square Pants.  He is not native to the Bay of Fundy.

We saw fish.

Gwen loved them!

So we looked at more fish.

Blue lobster!  A favourite of Cara's!

Connor liked pushing Gwen around.

Deedee the giant lobster ate a shrimp for lunch.  It was terrifying.

Before heading back to Harvey we had to show Gwen the ocean!

We had a quick visit with Mummy's friend Hope and her kids before we left Fredericton.  We stayed long enough for Cara to make a huge mess of their toys!!!

 When we got to Saint John we went bowling with Uncle Jamie and Leah!  Daddy helped Cara with her first frame.  She loved bowling and had a blast.  Uncle Jamie, you had a good idea with this activity!

It was a really good time and we are going to have to go bowling again now that Cara is hooked.
