Christmas 2014 - New Year's Eve!

Christmas Eve we went to church and Santa had dropped off the traditional Christmas Magic Sleeping Dust pjs while we were out.
We had some yummy chicken tacos for supper then the girls got in their new pjs and started to get a snack ready for Santa.
Cosmo played with Daddy while the girls wrote notes.
 The stockings were hung up.

Notes and snacks were left for Santa and a reindeer.
Also the white paper was a map Cara made so Santa could find his way from the bonus room (where the wood stove is) to the living room downstairs (where the tree is).
 Excited girls!
As the girls fell asleep Cosmo played with his favourite ornaments.
He didn't bother the tree too much this year.
He even posed for a Christmas Eve portrait.
Christmas morning - the girls were up after 8.
Mommy was up first waiting and waiting for the rest of the family to wake up.
Shovels! Now they can help clear the driveway!
Cara asked Santa for an electric pencil sharpener!
Yay!

Thank you Nanny & Papa for the "surprise" in the lunch bag!
Nearly gave Mommy a heart attack!!

 Cara loves Star Wars!
 Giant Darth Vader!
Star Wars Operation! Thanks McGinns :)
Gwen asked Santa for a rare My Little Pony for her collection.

Cara's other wish was for a marker maker - now she is a marker factory!
What a fun Christmas Morning!  Thank you to all of our family to sent such nice gifts for the girls.
We love you all xo
Boxing Day feast with Freya (and her parents!).
Cosmo really loves what Santa brought him!
 Dec 27 - Nana's Birthday Dinner.
Another excuse to wear the fancy dresses!
 Dec 30
We went to ZooLights at the Calgary Zoo with Nana & Howie.
Daddy was a bear.
 Cara a wolf.
 Gwen a bear.
 And Howie a Bear!
 Ice Vespa

A giant lollipop made of Christmas lights - so good they had to pretend to lick it!
 yum?
 Such pretty lights.
The girls had a great ride in the wagon.
It was pretty chilly for the rest of us walking!
 Candy Cane Lane
A pose with a Selfie taking Santa.
 A ride on the Carousel.
 Gwen rode on the Ladybug.
We all had a fun but chilly time!
We took a quick detour on the way home to see the Lions' Festival of Lights at Confederation Park.
 More pretty lights!
And a sliding hill so the girls had to have a go.

 New Year's Eve 2014
We drove down to our old neighbourhood to watch the fireworks at 8pm.
The shoot them from the zoo so we got to see them from the hill.
 Happy New Year!
