The rest of July and the beginning of August 2015

July was nice and hot and summery!
We went to a wading pool to cool off.
Another day - ice cream was needed to cool off.
Gwen on a bike ride with a big storm in the distance.
Cara is awesome at riding her bike now!
She is also skilled at monkey bars.
Daddy's Birthday!
Cara made a "pin the tail on the donkey" game and we made Daddy a cheesecake!
This is our new beach turtle!
Our previous turtle had a hole in it so this is our new guy.
Lots of fun at Sikome Lake!
Buried Gwen beside our sand castle.
Beach Babes!
The girls with their BFFs!
They did a week of Vacation Bible School together this summer and lots of fun playdates.
They also all did a camp together "HeroHeads"!
They trained all week in the skills required to be a super hero.
At the end of the week they were presented with capes and masks to go do heroic work in the world.
They are also awesome at posing.
This was on a ride at Calaway Park.
Bowling one afternoon!
We did a spa day to get ready for our California vacation.
Mud masks and cucumbers on the eyes with relaxing spa music.
Bliss.
Then pedicures with some Mickey nail art.
Another warm day so we went to a Spray Park.
We took an early trip to the Calgary Corn Maze this year.
The corn stalks were tall and green! (a nice change from the fall when they are dried up and beige)
They have friendly goats.

Fast slides.
Boucey Pillows!

How Tall This Fall?
A tradition :)
We got thoroughly lost!

Another way to cool off: Slip N Slide!
August 12
The girls were ready and excited and at the airport!
After a great flight we landed for vacation!
We were in San Diego
Here they are in Aunt Jill's van!
The next 12 days are full of palm trees, fun, extreme heat, sunburns, cousins, stories, Legoland, Disneyland, rollercoasters, Seaworld, beaches, family and more!
We took over 4000 photos so the posts will take some time!
Stay Tuned!
