Stampede Parade & Calaway Park

The 100th Calgary Stampede started on Friday and we got up early and went to the parade.  Gwen loved the marching bands and Cara loved the horses!
Gwen watched from over Mummy's shoulder.
Cara watched from on top of a fire hydrant, Daddy's shoulders and then Daddy's arms.
The cowgirls all dressed up for the parade!
Cara giving her best "YAHOO!"
We're saving a trip to the Stampede grounds until end of this week so watch the next update for more Stampede fun!
Saturday was a really nice day and we went out to Calaway Park with Nana and Howie for the day.
Cara loves going on the big girl rides alone and Gwen cannot wait until she can go too.
Cara rode the roller coaster twice this trip!
Nana and Gwen on the Carousel.
A game for Cara and Daddy - going for the BIG prize!
Howie and Gwen joined in the friendly competition!
Daddy and Cara won! And Gwen gets to share in the prize too!
"I love giant penguins!" or maybe "Mine all mine!"
Gwen didn't want to let go of this treasure so she walked through the park with a penguin the same size as she is!
While Gwen napped in the stroller Cara, Nana & Howie rode the Balloon Ride!
Ice Cream Break - notice the skill the girls have in getting ice cream all over their faces.
After lots of other rides we had time for one last ride - Nana, Howie and the girls drive around in an old car.
It was a great day at Calaway!
Mummy's Aunt Jerrilyn and her family were in Calgary this week visiting.  Jerri came by and got some play time in with the girls.  She was a great sport playing dress up!
"Y'all come back 'round these parts next week for lots more cowgirl pictures! Yahoo!" -Gwen
