California 2012 - Day 4 Disneyland! (Part 2)

We'll pick up our day at Disneyland in New Orleans Square - after meeting our friends at Pooh Corner we hopped on board the train that does a loop around the park.  We took it 1/4 way around back to Toon Town.  We were looking for more friends to meet!  No one new was in Toon Town so we went to meet some Princesses!
As we got in the line to meet a set of Princesses (3 are there at a time) the ladies changed.  Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White had to go back to the castle for a tea party.
Cara got over to the stairs as Snow White was passing by - Cara waved and Snow White waved to her!  It made Cara so happy!
We waited in line for about 40 minutes.  This is what they look like after waiting :)
 Then it was our turn.
Princess Ariel was first (in her human form).  Cara had just watched The Little Mermaid for the first time on the airplane so she was pretty excited.
 Then Belle!
Belle was happy to see Cara's T-shirt and Gwen loves Belle too so they had a group hug!
And finally we met Tiana (from The Princess and the Frog).
All the Princesses were so nice to the girls!
Right after we went through the line the Princesses switched back to the other group.  Gwen got a nice smile from Cinderella.  Then the girls decided that they'd rather go on some rides instead of waiting another 40 minutes!
Cara is a huge Alice In Wonderland fan so we just had to take a ride on the caterpillar through Wonderland!
Cara and Daddy - Cara was so excited to see her favourites from the movie (the Door Knob and the Cheshire Cat!)
Gwen just had to have a ride on King Arthur's Carousel!
It was so pretty all lit up!
The view of the lit Castle from the carousel.
Then it was onto the Peter Pan ride (you fly in a pirate ship to Neverland - so neat!)
Then the Pinochio ride.  This one is a bit scary and Cara said she could "handle it" then was a bit unsure (Daddy made a quick call to Mickey Mouse who agreed that Cara could handle it).  With reassurance Cara ran to get in line and had a good time (even on the scary parts).
Gwen was unfazed by the scary parts!
We had time for one last ride before supper and so we went to the Mad Hater's Tea Party (aka the Teacups!).  The lit lanterns were so pretty.
The girls really liked this ride!

The video is a bit dark but you can hear their happiness!
We had supper at the Plaza Inn.  Daddy and Mummy shared the fried chicken dinner (huge portions!) and the girls shared some noodles/veggies and apple slices.  As we were finishing our meals a nice old man who was a busboy was walking around asking if it was anyone's birthday.  Everyone was saying no and Daddy told him that Gwen's birthday was coming up on Friday so he made her this sign, got her a birthday button (and a bunch of other buttons) and then brought out 2 candles (in a pad of butter) and got the whole place singing!!!
 Gwen loved it!
The parade was starting right after supper.  We got great seats on the sidewalk and Cara had this look on her face for the entire parade!
 Princesses!
 More Princesses!
 Tiana!
More of the Princess and the Frog float.
 Captain Hook and Smee!
 Tinkerbell!
Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald.  Aladdin, the Genie and Ariel (in mermaid form)!
Some of the Mary Poppins float.
This was the end of the parade.
After some final shopping we got back on the bus shuttle to the parking lot.
We made it back to the Woody Lot and loaded the tired girls into the car.
They were asleep very fast!
 The girls Disney-ed out!

It was such a fun and special day.
A really special moment was right after we met Mickey and he signed the autograph book we got outside and Cara asked for the pen and book.  She opened it up and drew a picture of Mickey Mouse on the next page.  Her reason:  To welcome Mickey!  It was so sweet and amazing and probably the best, most magical moment of the whole day!
The autograph collection!
Including a portrait of Pluto by Gwen and even a Cara autograph!

Day 5 - "A restful day at the beach in Oceanside" will be up tomorrow!

  2. "Disney-ed out" indeed! The magic found its way onto the page and you were all touched by it! Tinker Bell's "dust" still transports us all... Grampy
